About the Board
The Northeast Workforce Investment Board (NEWIB) complies with the State’s Workforce Investment Act (WIA) by having at least 51% of its members from private businesses. Additional membership of the NEWIB consists of representatives from education, rehabilitation services, public assistance agencies and public employment services.
